Salt and Pepper Shaker Museum
If “uniqueness” is what you’re looking for, then the Salt and Pepper Shaker Museum is the place for you! The only collection of its kind in the United States, this Gatlinburg museum is home to over 20,000 sets of shakers, some dating back to 1500’s. You’ll also see shakers from every decade as well as the museum’s gold and silver shakers valued at thousands of dollars.
Gatlinburg Pinball Museum
Want to truly get your hands on with a bit of history? Then a visit to the Gatlinburg Pinball Museum is the choice for you. This interactive museum boasts a collection of over one hundred pinball machines and limited edition retro games, some dating back to the 1960’s. Visitors to the museum have the chance to play all of the machines in the collection, including the “Ready Aim Fire” game which is one of only 390 created. Located just past the Space Needle, this is one day of family fun you’ll remember for years to come.
Tennessee Museum of Aviation
Step back in time at the Tennessee Museum of Aviation in Sevierville and explore history! You’ll be able to reminisce with veterans who are willing to share their memories with the next generation. The museum includes a historic aircraft collection, live demonstrations, and more! Walk through a 35,000 square foot hangar for the chance to see restored Warbirds and catch a glimpse of future projects waiting for restoration. The museum is less than a 20-minute drive from Willow Brook Lodge and makes for an afternoon well spent.
