1. Go to The Island in Pigeon Forge
The Island in Pigeon Forge is a one stop, find everything you’re looking for kind of place. There’s sure to be something for everyone you are traveling with here. You can find delicious restaurants like the Timberwood Grill or Paula Deen’s Restaurant. There are attractions like the Smoky Mountain Wheel or Ole Smoky Moonshine, and plenty of shopping. 2. Take a Ride in Cades Cove
Cades Cove is located inside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is a very popular destination, but yet is one of the most peaceful and inspiring places inside the park. It is an 11 mile motor trail that you can navigate by car, bike, or horseback. The area is rich with Appalachian history including historical churches, cabins, and barns that you can explore. This valley-like area offers beautiful distant views of the Smoky Mountains, and is often a great place to see wildlife like deer, bears, and turkeys.
3. Visit the Old Mill
The Old Mill was once a working grist mill and is now an official historic building in the area. The Mill has a picture perfect waterfall running beside it. On the other side of the building you’ll find small shops offering unique gifts and souvenirs.
